“Metal Resistance” by BABYMETAL – Review

Metal Resistance is an excellent follow-up to BABYMETAL’s self titled album. Even though is not as great as their 2014 album, Metal Resistance shows the evolution to their songs, and how more mature they are, incorporating a lot more of metal.

If you enjoy their music, this album is necessary to be in your music library. And if you prefer streaming, than buying music, it is also available in multiple streaming platforms.

Another interesting way to see some of their songs, is that they are also throwing a little bit of J-Rock in their songs, for example, Amore can easily be cut into an anime opening/ending, which is pretty common in most popular J-Rock bands, like, FLOW.

There is one song in english if you buy or stream it out of Japan, called The One, and I’m not gonna lie, it is pretty good. I was not expecting it to be that enjoyable. Su-Metal has improved her English a lot, I remember seeing some interviews a while ago, and wow, what a change!

Oh, and before knowing that some members of the band DragonForce collaborated in this album, I was thinking to myself: “Did they change the band? It sounds so much like DragonForce!”

I totally recommend for people who are familiar with its style and appreciate it.

“Life of Pablo” by Kanye West – REVIEW

Finally Life of Pablo, Kanye West’s new album, was released in multiple streaming platforms.

I took my time, listened to the entire thing, and decided to do a review.

“Life of Pablo” by Kanye West

Even if you don’t like their music, is undeniable that Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West are big geniuses of 2010s music. Not only because of their provocative style, and awesome productions, but they know what to say to follow a certain theme they want to achieve when they were making their albums.

Even though Life of Pablo is not his strongest album, it is still delightful to listen to.

Songs like Ultralight BeamWaves and Fade are great songs if you are out of creativity juice, and needs some inspiration.

I cannot forget to mention the awesome performances that Rihanna and Chris Brown made in the songs they sang with Kanye.

And last, but not least, I recommend this album for people who love 2010s rap music. This album is like modern art, not suited for everybody.

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap
Songs: 19

ERASED (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi) – REVIEW

I know I’ve been missing for days, but I have my reasons, which will be explained later.

Finally, after weeks waiting for this marvelous, and wonderful, episode, I have finished ERASED (for the first time I controlled myself, and didn’t read the manga).

WOW! That’s my reaction to it.

Since the beginning of this anime, you can see that the director, Tomohiko Itō, knows what he was doing. It is beautifully directed to the bone. Every single detail was there for a reason. I could not expect something that amazing coming from the person who unfortunately directed Sword Art Online (both seasons).

Even though there was no insane plot twist in the anime, ERASED, knew how to hold my attention, and even make me anxiously wait for the next episode. Every episode ending has a powerful cliffhanger, that don’t give any chance of a plot twist. It just makes you mad inside, because you definitely knows what is going to happen on the next episode.

I cannot forget to mention its cinematography, and wonderful change of aspect ratio in THE RIGHT MOMENTS (a bunch of Hollywood directors still don’t know how to do that effectively, except Nolan, who for some reason didn’t bother me at all doing that during Interstellar). How the focus was used, and how it knew how to play with its shots and lights, ERASED is a perfect combination between spices, something well done, with nothing going too much, neither too little.

I wish I knew more animes that made me tear up MULTIPLE TIMES, like this one did.

ERASED is as powerful as any well done series you can find out there, one of the few animes that I would recommend even for people who hate the platform.

It deserves to get a Llama Award.
